Spiral Medallion Insertion
A pair of spiral rounds sits inside a pointed oval medallion, with crossed bands marking where the repeat joins; solid rows run along both long edges. An insertion strip meant to be set between fabric panels or sewn into household linens, and the straight solid edges make whipping it onto woven cloth straightforward. At 24 rows deep it works up quickly as a first figured band.
